What is Experiential Learning?
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING helps teams collaborate more effectively. This kinesthetic style uses games and initiatives that reveal each participant's default behaviors, teach better behavioral habits, and sustainably improve a team's ability to work together.
About BJ Penick
Experiential Learning Expert & Team Building Coach
I have worked with teams globally through seminars, retreats, and workshops for the last 25 years.
My family is everything to me - my husband, a retired chief after 34 years on the Tulsa Fire Department; three sons; two beautiful daughters-in-law; and seven incredible grandchildren who affectionately call us Grams and Peepaw. I am one of four and the daughter of a first-generation German-American who escaped concentration camps in World War II.
Originally from Denver but now based in Oklahoma, I still climb on ropes courses, jump on the trampoline with the children and love every minute of it.
How Does Experiential Learning Work?
One day of experiential learning equals three months of normal working conditions.
It starts a conversation that would otherwise not take place.
Develops relationships quickly through cooperation, communication, and inclusion and is more than just a shared experience.
It enables a group to cultivate a common language or agreed-upon terminology that adds meaning and increases sustainable results.
